In an effort to help their fellow students, a group of Hamden High seniors will be hosting College Talks this week (4/27 - 5/1) at 6pm on Zoom. It will be a series of informal seminars aimed at reducing the stress of the college application process for current juniors, but is open to students in other grades as well.
The small group of current seniors came up with the idea of hosting these short video sessions to provide insight and share helpful tips that they have learned, as they are now coming out of the college application process from the other end.
The college application process can be stressful for students and families in a normal year, but now with the world in a standstill, colleges unable to host tours, and limited access to their typical High School resources, these informal video sessions are a great way for current Juniors to check in with each other and learn from students who have already been through it.
Monday 4/27: Welcome to CollegeTalks!
Tuesday 4/28: Resume Building w/ Sidharth Singla & Kavi Talwalkar
Wednesday 4/29: College Essay w/ Franziska Lee
Thursday 4/30: Choosing Schools w/ Mariam Khan & Celine Genao
Friday 5/1: Applying to HBCU’s w/ Mareshah White & Neil Grasty
